Ah, springtime. The birds are chirping, flowers are blooming, and the furthest thing from your mind are probably warm woolly knits, amiright? Well friends, market/holiday season is only 6 months away, and if you’d like to be prepared this year rather than stressed, now is a great time to start! I’ve compiled 7 quick knits to stock your market booth this fall – including my personal best sellers!
Here’s the real deal: I’m by no means an expert at craft shows/markets. I have a couple of shows under my belt, but I also have 2.5 years of experience successfully selling on Etsy. Today I want to share with you a few of my bestsellers (from both in-person and online sales) so you can start stocking up to sell out this fall!
All of the patterns shown in this post use super bulky yarn, so you will be able to whip them up in no time. Some are free patterns, some are paid, and you are welcome to sell what you knit from any of them!
Find a handy dandy printable eBook of all 7 patterns for only $15 here!

Beanies, ya’ll. Hands down, beanies are my number one best selling item, both online and at craft shows. This is the Basic Beanie pattern, which is super simple and sized for the whole family (newborns through adults)! You can find the free pattern for the newborn size here.
Add a medium pom, large pom, or go all out with the ever popular double pom! This pattern includes a magic loop video tutorial for those teeny sizes, a decrease tutorial and a pom making tutorial.
Next up: mittens!
I added mittens to my shop and markets last year, because who doesn’t love a matching set?
Maybe it’s because the mitten market isn’t as saturated as the beanie market, or maybe because I offer toddler through adult sizes, but these babies sold out for me last season. I was thrilled! The Magic Mittens pattern is written in 5 sizes, and includes step-by-step video tutorials!
Speaking of matching sets…
A favorite of mine is this Chunky Seed Stitch Hat and Cowl combo! The hat pattern is written for newborn through adult sizes, and the cowl is written for toddler through adult sizes.
Another best seller (and personal favorite) is my Chunky Cabled Hat! This pattern is written for toddler and adult sizes.
I love to keep a stack of headbands by my register area for last minute impulse purchases. This Chunky Twist Headband takes a mere 18-33 yards, and is written for toddler through adult sizes!
This Triangle Tassel Scarf is one of my coziest, most versatile pieces. It can be worn several ways, and the tassels add a little fun flair!
Last but not least, I’m including these quick knit pillows! The patterns for this Chunky Throw Pillow Set are available for free here, and would add lots of cozy texture to your market booth!
All 7 patterns are available in a printer friendly bundle for only $15 (that’s a savings of 50%!). Find the eBook here on Ravelry, or here in my shop!
Add the bundle to your Ravelry queue for later here, or share this with your friends by pinning the image below!
I wish you all the best with your market prep, and I hope these patterns help you have a fun and successful market season! Feel free to tag me in your finished knits on Instagram – I’d love to see ’em!

Thank you so much!

Thanks so much for sharing! Would you mind telling me how much you generally share the items for? I’m going to having my own market stall for the first time this year, and I want to price fairly, but also not undervalue the work.
Thanks!

I’d be happy to! I generally calculate the cost of the materials + my time (roughly $12 an hour), then multiply that by 1.5 to 2 for my retail price. Feel free to have a look at my shop for the prices I generally charge (www.kniftyknittingsshop.com). I hope that helps!
