I’ve had the pleasure of knitting with the new J’Adore needle set from Knitters Pride for a month or so now, so I thought I would share my thoughts on them with you!
The J’Adore set comes with 6 pairs of purple cubic interchangeable needles in sizes US 6 through 11. If you haven’t tried cubic needles before, they are essentially square needles with rounded tips. I thought they would feel strange to hold in comparison with my usual rounded needles, but they are actually quite comfortable! Having a flat surface to grip onto keeps the needles from rotating in my hands. I’ve heard they are supposed to reduce hand fatigue, but I don’t think I’ve been knitting for long enough periods of time lately to say for sure. They are a lovely shade of purple with gold accents.
Included are 3 (non-swivel) stainless steel cords in 24, 32 and 40 inch lengths. Just like with other Knitters Pride sets, the cords are are very smooth, thin and memory free. I love using these cords for magic loop projects.
Also included in the set are 4 end caps to keep your project safe when you need to store it, 2 cord keys for tightening the needles onto the cords, 1 set of cord connectors to make longer cords, and 20 amour metal stitch markers. Everything arrives in an adorable matching velvet case – perfect for gift giving!
Overall I think this is a lovely set and a great value for what is included. You can find the J’Adore set for around $100 at most online yarn retailers and local yarn shops.
