Happy Friday, friends! I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve joined Sewrella’s guest designer program! If you’re not familiar with Ashleigh of Sewrella, you should be! She is an amazing crochet and knitwear blogger, and her encouragement inspired me to get back into blogging myself.
I am a firm believer that pom poms make everything better. I designed this fun and simple scarf with my 3 year old, Eleanor, in mind – I needed something that would stay put as she ran around and conquered snow hills, but also looked cute. The poms are cute, but also functional! Wrap the scarf around, tie the poms, and it won’t budge!
I used Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick & Quick for this project, but any super bulky weight yarn (category 6) should work just fine. For a non-wool alternative, try Lion Brand Hometown USA or the new Lion Brand Thick & Quick – the cousin of WETQ, now without wool!
You can find the full pattern and video tutorial on Sewrella, and my pom pom tutorial here. I hope you enjoy this pattern, and feel free to tag me @kniftyknittings in your project posts on Instagram!
