Happy Friday, friends! I’ve been quiet on the blog for the past month, but only because I’ve been working hard behind the scenes on some exciting new knitting patterns! Today, I’m so excited to introduce to you the Juniper Shawl pattern! This one was a big step outside of my design comfort zone, and I hope you love it as much as I do.
The Juniper Shawl merges a classic crescent shaped design with a flowing lace and nupp edging, resembling juniper branches. It is worked from the top down, starting with a garter tab, with increases placed along both sides. Once the body of the shawl is finished, stitches are cast on to knit the applied lace edging.
The pattern includes a full step-by-step video tutorial demonstrating how to work the garter cast on, how to increase for the body of the shawl, and how to knit the lace edging!
The Juniper Shawl pattern is available for purchase in my shop and on Ravelry. I used Baad Mom Fingering in the color Péitseog for this shawl.

There are several ways to style the shawl, though this has been my favorite way to wear it this summer!
If you’d like to join us for a Knit-A-Long, Melanie from Baad Mom Yarns is hosting one next month in her facebook group.
I can’t wait to see what color you choose for your shawl! Feel free to tag me on Instagram @kniftyknittings and use the hashtag #junipershawl so I can take a peek at your work! I’d love it if you would share this pattern with your friends by liking on Ravelry or pinning the image below!

I keep thinking this would be so pretty in an off-white yarn as a bridal shawl, for a Christmas-time or winter wedding!

Ah I would love to see it in off-white! Thanks for popping by, Marianne!
